Flotilla Soumoud 2: Departure date revealed as global mobilization for Gaza intensifies

    The Global Soumoud Flotilla announced, during a press conference held in South Africa, the official details surrounding the launch of Flotilla Soumoud 2, marking a new phase of international solidarity with the Palestinian people.

    Symbolic departure on March 29

    Organizers confirmed that the official launch will coincide with Palestinian Land Day, with the first vessel setting sail on March 29, carrying strong symbolic and political significance.

    Launch from several Mediterranean countries

    The flotilla will depart from multiple Mediterranean countries, including:

    • Spain,

    • Italy,

    • Tunisia,

    highlighting the regional and international scope of the initiative.

    A humanitarian and reconstruction-focused mission

    The mission will include:

    • a floating hospital,

    • ships carrying educators,

    • eco-builders specialized in sustainable reconstruction.

    Broad international coordination

    Organizers confirmed extensive coordination with global initiatives and organizations supporting Palestinian rights, all of which have been invited to join the mission.

    Parallel land convoys

    Alongside the maritime flotilla, two land convoys will be launched:

    • Soumoud Convoy 2, departing from Algeria, crossing Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt, and heading to Rafah,

    • A second convoy starting from the Far East, passing through Russia, Iran, Pakistan, and other countries.

    Global call for participation

    The Global Soumoud Flotilla has issued an open call to people worldwide to participate in the initiative, urging volunteers to register via a dedicated application form.
