Foot of shepherd, hit by landmine explosion on Mount Mghila, amputated

The local health director in Kasserine said that doctors were obliged to amputate the right foot of the 35-year old shepherd who was injured, last Monday, after stepping on a landmine in the closed military zone in Mount Mghila, in the delegation of Sbiba, governorate of Kasserine.

The shepherd, originally from the municipality of “Ain Zayan”, entered the military zone in search of pasture for his herd, eyewitnesses said.
