According to data from INSEE, in October 2025, France’s trade balance slipped by €0.1 billion, reaching -€5.2 billion.
This deterioration, INSEE explains, is due to a slight decline in exports (-€0.1 billion) combined with stable import levels.
Over the month, imports remained unchanged at €57 billion. Exports edged down by €0.1 billion to €51.8 billion.
The cumulative 12-month trade balance continues to improve (+€3.6 billion after +€2.4 billion in September 2025), standing now at -€72.4 billion.
