French health authorities said on Friday that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases since the previous update climbed by 328,214.
The figure marks the second-highest daily increase in infections in France, only topped by around 335,000 cases reported on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the virus in France climbed by 193 to 125,206.
