The French Foreign Ministry called on Islamic countries not to boycott products made in France.
“The boycott calls are pointless and must cease immediately, as well as all the attacks directed against our country, instrumentalised by a radical minority”, said the statement.
Recent statements by French President Emmanuel Macron on Islam have sparked protests and calls for a boycott of French products in the Muslim world.
