Tunisia participated on December 18, 2025, in the 63rd session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, held in Tripoli. During the meeting, Tunisia’s Minister of Health, Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, highlighted the country’s experience in digitalizing health services, emphasizing its role in improving access to healthcare and enhancing the efficiency of the health system.

In his address, the minister particularly showcased the E-vax vaccination platform, describing it as a successful example of digital transformation that helped facilitate citizens’ access to health services and improve sector management, especially during critical periods.

Dr. Ferjani stressed that Tunisia is increasingly relying on advanced technologies, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence to promote health equity, bring services closer to citizens, and improve their quality. He also emphasized the importance of digital sovereignty and the protection of health data, in line with the vision of President Kaïs Saïed.

Meanwhile, Arab health ministers approved several key decisions, including enhanced support for the Palestinian health sector and the activation of the Arab strategy to benefit from expatriate health professionals.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Tunisian health minister held bilateral talks with his counterparts from Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Sudan, and Djibouti, focusing on expanding cooperation in areas such as the pharmaceutical industry, medical tourism, training, and knowledge exchange.
