A major fundraising campaign is underway in Sidi Bouzid to support the pediatric department of the regional hospital. The initiative, launched recently by several Tunisian medical associations, aims to enhance the quality of care provided to children and supply essential medical equipment to the newly established unit.
The campaign, led over the past three weeks by the Tunisian Young Doctors Organization, the Tunisian Doctors Abroad Association, and the JAD Public Health Foundation, has so far collected nearly 84,000 dinars, thanks to contributions from 728 donors through the dedicated platform “Chaqaqa.”
Organizers hope to reach a total of 250,000 dinars to purchase vital resuscitation equipment and medical devices necessary to strengthen the unit, with the overarching goal of ensuring equal access to healthcare for children in Sidi Bouzid and surrounding areas.
They emphasize that the primary objective of this initiative is to ensure that no child is deprived of medical care, whether due to a lack of equipment or insufficient medical resources, and call on citizens to continue supporting this essential humanitarian effort.
