Gaza: 166 Journalists killed, IFJ demands urgent investigation

At least 166 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been killed, several injured, and others are missing since the beginning of the war in Gaza.

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) strongly condemn the killings and ongoing attacks targeting media professionals.

In response to these alarming numbers, the IFJ is calling for an immediate and independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths. The organization also reminds journalists operating in conflict zones to take all necessary safety precautions, including wearing professional protective equipment, and urges media organizations not to send their staff into danger without ensuring proper safety measures.
