The Gaza Health Ministry Spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra revealed to Al Jazeera on Thursday the ministry’s intention to cease all collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).
“The Ministry of Health has decided to stop all coordination with the WHO regarding the evacuation until they send us a report explaining what happened,” the spokesman said in a report on the outlet’s TV channel.
Al-Qudra’s declaration comes after Israeli soldiers detained a convoy transporting healthcare workers from Al-Shifa hospital. During the incident, Mohammad Abu Salmiya, the hospital’s director, was also arrested.
