Global coronavirus deaths top 2 million

The global score for deaths from  COVID-19 has exceeded the 2 million mark during the day on Thursday.

The outbreak that began back in December last year in China left the Asian continent and has swept the world,  The United States remains the nation worst-hit by the pandemic as it leads the world in both the number of coronaviruses and viral infections.

Approximately 400,000 people have lost their lives in the US so far, with Brazil in second place as over 200,000 fatalities were seen in the country to date. India and Mexico lag behind having confirmed 151,954 and 136,917 deaths respectively, according to the official data aggregated by the two nation’s health ministries.
