Good News: Tunisians in Iran are safe

As military tensions continue between Iran and the Israeli army, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeks to reassure the public. All members of the Tunisian diplomatic mission in Tehran are safe, confirmed Imed Rahmouni, Tunisia’s Ambassador to Iran, earlier this morning.

Ambassador Rahmouni specified that no incidents have been reported concerning Tunisian nationals currently in Iran.

When asked about a potential evacuation, the Tunisian ambassador in Tehran reminded that Iranian airspace remains closed, meaning any repatriation is currently only possible by land.

The ministry is closely monitoring the situation of the 72 Tunisians officially registered with the embassy, all of whom are accounted for and in good health.
