Healthcare in Nabeul: innovative digital equipment for the dental medicine department

As part of the modernization of healthcare services and efforts to strengthen dental medicine in the regions, the Ministry of Health has equipped the university dental department of the Ahmed Tlétli Regional Hospital with cutting-edge digital technology. These new facilities officially entered into operation today, 19 January 2026.

A fully digital workflow for dental care

The newly installed equipment enables the implementation of a fully digital workflow in the design and production of dental prosthetics and in occlusodontics, significantly improving the accuracy and quality of dental treatments. The technological platform includes:

    a digital intraoral scanner,
a 3D facial scanner designed to analyze jaw movements and dynamic occlusion,
a high-precision 3D printer dedicated to dental applications.

Tangible benefits for patients and healthcare professionals

These technologies contribute to more accurate diagnoses, shorter treatment times, and more efficient production of dental devices. They also represent a key asset for strengthening professional skills and enhancing academic training in dental medicine.

Towards a more modern and digital public healthcare system

Through this initiative, the Ministry of Health aims to further advance the digital transformation of the healthcare system, modernize hospital infrastructure, and improve access to high-quality specialized care across the country, thereby promoting greater equity in public health services.
