United States President Joe Biden’s son Hunter pleaded guilty on Thursday to all nine charges in his tax evasion case and the judge accepted his plea, scheduling the sentencing for December 16.
It was earlier reported that Biden’s legal team intended to enter an Alford Plea, which would have enabled him to avoid admitting guilt, skip the trial, and accept punishment for the offenses brought against him. The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) said it would oppose such a plea, however, and Biden’s legal team decided to enter into a so-called open plea.
