Damascus International Airport resumed operations on Tuesday, after a month-long hiatus since the fall of the ousted President Bashar al-Assad regime, head of General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport Ashhad al-Salibi announced on Tuesday.
AFP reported that a Syrian Airlines flight bound for Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, took off at around 11:45 am local time, marking the first international commercial flight from the airport since December 8.
