Iran has begun implementing a new price tier for state-subsidised gasoline, marking the first revision to fuel prices since 2019.
The move comes as the country grapples with a weakening currency and the impact of economic sanctions.
Despite the changes, gasoline prices in Iran remain among the lowest in the world.
The last major increase, six years ago, sparked nationwide protests, followed by a crackdown that left more than 300 people dead.
