Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian talked on the phone with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron on Monday and insisted that Tehran “does not welcome the escalation of tension in the region.” Nevertheless, he warned that Iran’s response will be “immediate, stronger and broader” if Israel retaliates.
Meanwhile, Cameron said Iran’s attack on Israel is “very worrying” but that the United Kingdom will continue to urge Israel not to retaliate.
