Iraq receives 1.2 million Pfizer jabs

Iraq’s health ministry announced on Saturday that a shipment of 1.2 million doses of Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine had arrived in the country.

The shipment was delivered as part of the COVAX programme, assisted by UNICEF.

Iraq has registered over 2 million cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, as well as 23,628 deaths.
