Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani shared on Tuesday that the ISIS commander for Iraq was killed during an operation in the Hamrin Mountains in northeastern Iraq.
According to the prime minister, several other senior leaders of ISIS were killed in the operation.
“We affirm that there is no place for terrorists in Iraq, and we will pursue them to their hideouts and eliminate them until the land of Iraq is cleansed of them and their sinful actions,” the prime minister said in the statement.
