Israel cuts off humanitarian supplies to Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a total halt to the entry of goods and supplies into Gaza as of Sunday morning. The decision follows the end of the first phase of the agreement and Hamas’ rejection of U.S. envoy Steve Wietkoff’s plan to continue negotiations, according to Netanyahu’s office.

Israel said it would not allow a ceasefire without the release of hostages and warned of further consequences if Hamas continues to refuse. This move comes as Netanyahu obstructs negotiations for the second phase, which was supposed to begin on February 3.

As the holy month of Ramadan starts, the people of Gaza continue to suffer after more than 15 months of Israeli attacks.
