As part of strengthening the bilateral partnership between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia in the healthcare sector, Dr. Abdelrazzak Bouzouita, Director-General of Health, visited the Fattouma Bourguiba University Hospital in Monastir on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was accompanied by Dr. Abdallah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, the royal court adviser and the general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Centre.
During the visit, the Saudi official praised Tunisia’s medical expertise, emphasising the significant efforts made to establish a pediatric hospital in Monastir that will provide healthcare services comparable to those in developed countries. He also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two nations in the healthcare sector.
This initiative marks a significant step in the Saudi-Tunisian collaboration program aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure and exchanging technical and medical expertise to address current health challenges. The construction of the pediatric hospital in Monastir is a strategic project designed to provide high-quality healthcare for children while strengthening the ties between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia in the healthcare sector.
