Italy Opens €55 Million Credit Line for Tunisian SMEs

The Confederation of Citizen Enterprises of Tunisia (CONECT), in partnership with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and with the support of relevant regional structures, has launched a series of information days dedicated to the new “55” credit line.

With a total allocation of €55 million, this initiative is designed to support Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises by financing their development projects and strengthening their regional presence.

    A Tour Across Five Governorates

The meetings will be held in several regions of the country according to the following schedule:

    • September 25, 2025: Jendouba

    • October 1, 2025: Sidi Bouzid

    • October 21, 2025: Mahdia

    • October 22, 2025: Sfax

    • November 13, 2025: Kairouan

Each stop will provide an opportunity to present in detail the features of the financing line, the eligibility criteria, and the application procedures.

    Inform, Advise and Support

Project leaders and local economic stakeholders will have access to tailored advice and practical information on the steps required.

The goal is to enable interested companies to fully benefit from the scheme, maximizing their chances of securing funding.

CONECT has called on entrepreneurs, investors and economic actors to actively participate in these events in order to give new momentum to their initiatives and contribute to regional development.

    A Lever for Local Growth

Beyond financial support, this credit line is part of a broader effort to stimulate job creation, encourage innovation, and reduce regional disparities.

It also reflects the commitment of Tunisian-Italian cooperation to help local businesses achieve greater competitiveness and sustainability.

This initiative, which combines financing, information and guidance, stands out as a major opportunity for Tunisian SMEs seeking to take their growth to the next level.
