United Kingdom Health Secretary Sajid Javid (pictured) asserted on Wednesday that the coronavirus vaccines will “very likely […] remain effective against serious disease” in those infected with coronavirus’ Omicron strain.
In an interview with Sky News, he predicted that more data on the new variant will be available “in a few weeks.”
Javid previously stressed that the country’s response to the virus will largely depend on how lethal and transmissible the Omicron variant proves itself to be.
