Jordan: A caravan of 50 trucks of humanitarian aid arrives in Gaza

The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) dispatched a new convoy of 50 trucks loaded with food to the Gaza Strip on Sunday, in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP) and in direct coordination with the Jordanian armed forces.
According to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), “This convoy is a continuation of the humanitarian aid deployed by Jordan since the beginning of the aggression and addresses the urgent needs related to the difficult conditions facing the people of the Gaza Strip, particularly in the northern areas, which are suffering from persistent disruptions to supply chains and a severe shortage of basic necessities.” The JHCO explained that the aid will be distributed to the most needy families through carefully designed local mechanisms, ensuring that food parcels reach families who have lost the means to meet their daily needs due to the war and the blockade.
As part of the convoys to support the field hospital, a reinforcement convoy carrying 3,000 units of blood will be delivered to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza. The convoy will be distributed to hospitals in the region to meet the needs and the appeal launched by Gaza, as part of a blood donation campaign launched in cooperation with the Doctors’ Syndicate and the Ministry of Health.
According to the agency, this convoy is one of hundreds sent by land and air, conveying a message of solidarity and unwavering support, and constituting a lifeline that continues to flow despite all difficulties. The agency noted that “since the beginning of the crisis, the Jordanian Humanitarian Corridor has provided the people of Gaza with 7,815 trucks and 53 planes via Arish, as well as 102 helicopters as part of the airlift, in addition to implementing numerous aid projects in the Gaza Strip in cooperation with several support entities.”
