The Public Security Directorate in Jordan revealed that the student who was shot inside a private university just died.
Inquiries are still ongoing.
Earlier Thursday, a female student was shot inside a private university in the north of the capital Amman, according to a statement issued by the Public Security Directorate.
The student was rushed to the hospital and was in critical condition, the statement continued.
The perpetrator escaped and investigations were launched to determine his identity and arrest him.
