Former United States President Donald Trump was discovered guilty on Thursday in the trial that charged him with 34 counts of first-degree falsifying business records related to the reported payments made for silencing adult film actress Stormy Daniels about her alleged encounters with the ex-head of state.
New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan asked the jury if they found Trump guilty on all 34 charges, to which they responded positively. The former president’s team then said they wanted the entire jury polled, meaning the members must confirm their verdict independently.
Judge Merchan set the sentencing date for July 11.
