On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the promulgation of the Personal Status Code and National Tunisian Women’s Day, the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, made a symbolic visit on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 to several areas of Tunisia, including Labyed, Ouled Akeel, Jelma, an agricultural farm in the region of Eshar’aa in the delegation of Sebala, as well as Bir Amama, dependent on Bir Lahfay, and the entrance to the town of Kairouan.
During these visits, President Saied took the time to listen to citizens’ concerns, therefore providing them with a platform to voice their difficulties and expectations. The head of state reaffirmed his dedication to the Tunisian people, declaring that the country is currently engaged in a “war of national liberation”. He emphasised that Tunisia will emerge victorious from this fight against the “lobbies” which, according to him, work to mistreat citizens in all aspects of their daily lives.
