Mokhtar Allagui, head of the plant protection department at the regional directorate of agricultural development in Kasserine, told Tunisie Numérique that the region has registered 75 outbreaks of mealybug spread across all delegations, except for Hidra and Majel Belabbes.
He underlined the necessity to remain vigilant and strengthen the efforts of all stakeholders to protect the prickly pear production area in Zelfan.
