Kerkennah and Kalâat el-Andalous threatened with disappearance due to rising sea levels!

Invited by National Radio, the manager of the Coastal Protection and Development Agency (APAL) Mehdi Belhadj stated the Ministry of the Environment is operating to deal with the rise in sea levels which threatens to disappearance of several regions of the country such as Kerkennah and Kalâat el-Andalous.

“By 2050, Tunisia would lose 250 km² of its coastline and 1000 km² in 2100,” adds Mehdi Belhadj.
