Britain’s King Charles III was briefly admitted to hospital on Thursday after suffering temporary side effects from cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace said in a statement. The monarch’s afternoon engagements were canceled, the palace added.
“Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital,” the palace clarified.
According to the statement, King Charles has returned to Clarence House as a “precautionary measure.” His diary programme for tomorrow was rescheduled, the palace concluded.
