The Libyan Interior Ministry reported that security patrols have been strengthened on the Tunisian-Libyan border to fight smuggling and illegal immigration.
It added on its official page that “security patrols were carried out on the border strip with Tunisia, led by the head of the border security sector of Nalut. The patrols included the points of Al-Marabaha, Umm Al-Doud, Umm Al-Far, and Tawil Al-Shol, The patrols were accompanied by the 419th battalion affiliated to the Chief of Staff. These patrols seek to strengthen security control at the borders and combat illegal activities that pose a threat to the country’s security.
