Electricity will be cut off tomorrow, Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in several areas of the Mahdia governorate due to maintenance work, the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) – Mahdia District announced on Saturday.
According to the company’s statement, the outage will affect the entire Borj Arif area (from the Mahdco garment factory to the Total service station in Borj Arif), the El Habib building in Borj Arif, the neighborhood opposite it, the Borj Echelebi area, the Liyana/Oued Nekhala area, the Dar Cheikh stables, Hammamats Street, and the neighborhood surrounding the El-Ghufrane mosque in Erroudha.
Other areas will also be affected, including Ibn Al-Jazzar Avenue (from Rawdat Samsam to the Borj Arif intersection), part of Sousse Street, the Boumerdes Road (from the vehicle inspection center intersection to Mohsen Café), Avenue de la République (from Mohsen Café to the El Bey bakery intersection), part of Jebel Dar Ouja, as well as the entire industrial zone.
STEG stated that power will be restored without prior notice, depending on the progress of maintenance work in the affected areas.
