Speaking with Tunisie Numérique, National Coordinator of the Professors Malik Ayari stressed that the Ministry of Education did not, at the start of the academic year, update the database, revealing that the size of the vacancy surpassed approximately 12 thousand between what is a vacancy and a circumstantial vacancy.
Ayari added that the size of the vacancy is approximately 8,000 vacancies and nearly more than 5 thousand, taking into account the retirement rate, which will formally determine the size of the vacancies.
He noted that the professors are awaiting the resolution of vacancies according to the application developed by the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Supervision has not yet communicated with the delegates concerning the vacancies. Current information implies that the list will be finalized either today or tomorrow, as he mentioned.
As for the relationship of what he considered the most significant demand, Ayari explained that substitute teachers are in the process of waiting for the arrangement rulings received by the President of the Republic on the day of science, which was held in small ministerial sessions. For substitute teachers have to speed up the issuance of these arrangements to ensure a quick school return for all students.
