Brazilian international midfielder Casemiro has announced his definitive departure from Manchester United at the end of his contract, upon the conclusion of the current 2025–2026 season.
Now 33, Casemiro joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022 from Real Madrid, in a transfer reportedly valued at €70 million.
The Manchester-based club shared a video featuring the Brazilian player on its official social media platforms, in which he confirmed the end of his spell with the club at the close of the season.
Supporters will have the opportunity to pay tribute to Casemiro’s contributions during the team’s final home match of the season, against Nottingham Forest.
Casemiro said:
“I will carry Manchester United with me for the rest of my life.”
He added:
“From the very first day I set foot on the pitch of this magnificent stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this exceptional club.”
He continued:
“The time to say goodbye has not yet come. There are still many memories to be made over the next four months.”
He concluded:
“We still have a great deal to fight for and achieve together, and my commitment will remain total, as always, to give everything I can to help our club succeed.”
