Mandatory COVID passes in Italy from October 15

The Italian government ordered on Thursday that all workers will have to possess COVID-19 certificates from October 15 unless they want to be suspended from their jobs.

People who continue going to work despite not having a health pass will face a fine of up to €1,500. The paper will be showing if a person is either vaccinated against the disease, has recovered from it or has recently tested negative for the coronavirus.

Italy is set to become a test-country for one of the strictest anti-pandemic measures in the continent, since the Green Pass implemented by the European Union is not mandatory for all employees.
