Details of the Meeting with President Saied
Engineer Abdel Samad Al-Kreibi, 33 years old, originally from the delegation of Jedlian in the Kasserine governorate, a graduate of the National School of Engineers in Gafsa, and the head of the founding committee of the regional private company “Spasb Al-Wasat Al-Gharbi for Investment in Construction and Mining Materials” in Kasserine, shared the details of his meeting with President Kais Saied. He stated, “I was extremely pleased to meet President Kais Saied and very proud. The highest authority in the country instilled in us, the youth of Tunisia, a great deal of hope.”

He added, “The president conveyed a message to the youth of Tunisia that he is with us and on our side. I felt a genuine belief in youth from the president, which gave us hope that the state is on the side of its children. Tunisia needs us, and we will be its best support.”

Launch Date of His Project
Engineer Abdel Samad Al-Kreibi told Tunisie Numérique that the founding session for the regional private company “Spasb Al-Wasat Al-Gharbi for Investment in Construction and Mining Materials” will be held on January 19, 2025.

Al-Kreibi clarified that this company comprises a group of young people, university graduates, people with disabilities, and women. He added, “The project we are operating on aims to produce eco-friendly paper made from marble waste, phosphate, and construction waste.”

He noted that his project will help in utilizing the marble waste, which Kasserine is known for, a resource that has been exploited haphazardly, with 84% of it wasted in 2021, as well as transforming phosphate waste extracted from the mining basin. He expressed, “Thanks to this project, phosphate waste will turn from a curse into a blessing.”

The young engineer pointed out that the eco-friendly paper could be utilised in various fields, such as the production of school notebooks, bags, and packaging, and it could also be turned into fertilizer due to its composition.
