In a statement to National Radio, Jawhar Gabsi, spokesperson for the Sidi Bouzid Court of First Instance, said that contrary to what was previously reported, the principal of the Mezzouna high school remains in custody for manslaughter and has not been released. The inquiry into the incident involves five people, including retirees.
The principal of the Mezzouna secondary school, who was apprehended following the collapse of the school’s wall, which killed three students and injured two others, is still under investigation.
