European Council President Charles Michel departed on his official visit to Ukraine’s capital city to meet with the country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday.
“We all know they [Ukrainians] are also fighting for our European values and principles, and for the promise of the European Union of peace and prosperity they need and deserve,” Michel said in a video address posted on his social network. The chief of the European Council revealed that during the meeting with the Ukraine’s head of state and his team, the parties will discuss what “concrete measures” need to be taken to strenghten Ukraine.
