Minister: Bad weather hampers Raisi’s helicopter rescue

Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi confirmed that a helicopter in the convoy carrying President Ebrahim Raisi made a hard landing. Speaking to state TV, Vahidi stated rescue teams are encountering challenging weather conditions, which are delaying their efforts to reach the scene and gather more information.

The incident happened in northwestern Iran while Raisi was travelling with a convoy of three helicopters. The convoy included several high-ranking officials, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
