The governor of the Kef, Walid Kaâbia, officially launched the distribution of social assistance to more than 1,500 needy and low-income families as part of the national programme to counter the cold wave, integrated into the social protection system.
An initiative in line with presidential directives
This initiative responds to the directives of the President of the Republic, calling for the swift delivery of social support to vulnerable groups.
The operation is carried out in coordination with the regional director of social affairs, Lassad Hermazi, and his teams, with the support of the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity.
Mobilisation of local institutions
The governor instructed delegates to reinforce support for local social affairs units and ensure coordination among all relevant institutions to guarantee the success of the national programme.
He also stressed the importance of meeting all basic needs of the beneficiary families, particularly during the winter period marked by a significant drop in temperatures.
This initiative aims to protect the most vulnerable households from harsh weather conditions and strengthen social solidarity mechanisms across the Kef region.
