Morocco’s Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that a mpox case has been confirmed in Marrakech, the first case reported in the country amidst the new global outbreak that has been widely reported.
The ministry further specified that the infected person is receiving appropriate medical care by approved health procedures and is subject to careful medical monitoring to ensure the stability of his condition.
“The necessary quarantine and medical monitoring procedures have also been activated following national and international health standards,” the ministry added.
