The General Directorate of the National Guard announced that its units in Ariana, supported by specialized brigades from the regional intervention forces, have successfully apprehended seven individuals implicated in a deadly brawl. Among them is the main suspect in the murder that took place on April 12, 2025, in the parking lot of the Tunis City “Géant” shopping center.
The altercation, which escalated into a violent confrontation between groups of young people, tragically resulted in the death of a young man from Menzel Jemil, in the governorate of Bizerte. He was fatally struck with a sharp object, which was retrieved at the crime scene.
The public prosecutor has ordered the opening of a judicial investigation and the detention of all individuals arrested in connection with the case.
The National Guard has issued a call to citizens, particularly young people, urging them to avoid engaging in group conflicts and violent behavior, which can have tragic and irreversible consequences.
