The number of COVID-19 infections in North Korea neared the 40,000 mark in the last 24 hours, according to a report by state media on Sunday. The country recorded 40,060 cases since the previous update, the lowest daily total in almost a month, as well as one death.
North Korea revealed a COVID-29 outbreak on May 12, with a peak of 392,920 cases on May 16. According to official data, there have been 4,432,800 cases of “fever” and 72 deaths
