Nabeul-Calf died due to lumpy skin disease

Mohamed Hamdouni, head of the Animal Production Department at the Regional Delegation for Agricultural Development in Nabeul, confirmed today, Friday, December 6, 2024, the death of a calf due to lumpy skin disease in the Dar Chaabane El Fehri delegation. It was two months old and was brought from the weekly market for examination in the governorate of Zaghouan.

Hamdouni stated, “We are in a state of vigilance after registering the first case and that vaccination is available, underscoring that the symptoms of this disease are blisters and high temperatures, and when any of the symptoms are observed, the nearest veterinarian should be contacted”.
