The General Directorate of the National Guard has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that armed clashes took place in Makthar, Siliana Governorate, between two groups over a land conflict, resulting in one death and several injuries.
“These reports are false. Measures will be taken against anyone discovered responsible for spreading fake news on social media,” the National Guard stated.
