An earthquake with an intensity of 2.9 on the Richter scale struck, on Monday at 4:28 p.m., the wilaya of Chlef, 250 km west of the capital, Algiers.
According to the Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics, the epicentre of the was located 20 km northwest of the commune of Dhahra, and it was felt by locals of the commune and some neighbouring areas.
