Nearly 50,000 Saudi tourists visited Russia between January and September of this year—an eightfold increase compared to pre-Covid-19 levels.
The figures come from an analysis conducted by the Novosti news agency using official statistics.
Russia and Saudi Arabia had previously signed a bilateral government agreement abolishing reciprocal entry visas between the two countries.
According to forecasts by the Russian Union of the Travel Industry, this measure is expected to double or even triple the flow of Saudi tourists to Russia by next summer, in 2026.
More specifically, data shows that 49,600 Saudi tourists visited Russia during the first nine months of 2025, representing a 20% increase compared with the same period last year.
By comparison, the number of Saudi visitors did not exceed 6,200 in 2019, the year before the pandemic.
