O.J. Simpson, the former National Football League (NFL) star, died at 76, his family announced on Thursday.
The family shared on social media platform X that he died on April 10, in Las Vegas, after losing a battle with cancer. “He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren,” it was further written in the post.
Simpson was tried for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, which took place in 1994. A year later, he was acquitted of the charges.
