FC Barcelona announced on Monday that it has extended the contract of its Polish goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczęsny, until 2027.
Szczęsny joined the Catalan club during the last winter transfer window on a six-month deal, having reversed his decision to retire.
He was brought in following a knee injury sustained by Marc-André ter Stegen.
Barça also signed goalkeeper Joan Garcia but has decided to maintain its trust in Szczęsny.
Meanwhile, ter Stegen appears to be out of Hansi Flick’s plans, despite the German’s insistence on staying with the club.
