The Italian Football Federation has announced the appointment of Gennaro Gattuso as the new head coach of the national team, replacing Luciano Spalletti, who was recently dismissed following a decline in the Azzurri’s performance.
In its official statement, the Federation confirmed that Gattuso will be formally introduced to the media on June 19 during a special press conference at the organization’s headquarters.
Throughout his playing career, Gattuso reached the pinnacle of the sport by winning the 2006 FIFA World Cup with Italy.
He also experienced European glory with two UEFA Champions League titles while playing for AC Milan, in addition to triumphs in the FIFA Club World Cup, Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Italian Super Cup.
