An anticipated speech by the Secretary General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), Noureddine Taboubi, is scheduled for May 1, according to a statement issued by the union.
The UGTT’s national executive bureau has invited all union members, as well as workers, to partake in the workers’ rally that will take place on Thursday, May 1, in celebration of International Workers’ Day. The event will begin at 9:30 AM at Mohamed Ali Hammi Square.
Following Taboubi’s speech, a workers’ march will be held in support of the Palestinian people, from Mohamed Ali Hammi Square to January 14, 2011 Square.
